Faster on the Way Home

Now that I've passed the halfway point, I seem to be heading towards the next 10,000 and the next faster than when I started. My daily word count hasn't really increased, though, so I guess it's one of those illusions of perception, like the drive home from somewhere always seeming to pass more quickly than the drive there. If only the words would come easier, though. In stretches, they do. In other stretches, they really, really don't. Oh well. I'm at 27,425, and the little blue bar graph on my NaNo profile page is firmly past the halfway mark. I love that bar graph. It is my friend. Blah blah blah. Need bed now.
